News, Reviews and Retrospectives

Brand X Reviews started in October 2013 as a YouTube channel and related website brandxreviews.com, intended to cover pop-culture subjects, such as movies, record collecting, entertainment news and more.

This continues today, however in subsequent years, discussions have expanded into the Culture War as it pertains to entertainment.

So brandxreviews.com now redirects over to thegramophonemind.com, as we do cover similar subject matter. For example we have recommended reading and music sections in the menu of this website, as well as a list of recommended movies and documentaries in our media section.

We also utilise our page on X to host our videos occasionally and other updates:

“To exchange one orthodoxy for another is not necessarily an advance. The enemy is the gramophone mind, whether or not one agrees with the record that is being played at the moment.” – Excerpt from ‘The Freedom of the Press’, by George Orwell (1945).
