Addressing the fact that there are people in power in Britain that think that the moral position (whatever that may be) of the police should trump the law.
My concern there is that their moral position is increasingly becoming one based on Cultural Marxism right now. One that prioritises grievance based identity politics and Critical Theory, in a Postmodernist petrie dish of Woke philosophy and ideology. One that equates words with real violence. Not good when actual justice is meant to be served.
And the British public are increasingly losing patience.

There’s been a move recently to drop standardised testing. The University of California colleges have scrapped it. And this week, Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, announced that Florida’s universities will do the same. The concern is that standardised testing disproportionately favours wealthy, white applicants.
I think that’s likely true. But scrapping standardised testing is still probably a bad idea, because all the other things you can replace it with are worse.
