In the crime novel, a YouTube creator named Edie Ledwell is violently murdered after being “canceled” by “social justice warriors,” the New York Post reports.

The LGBTQ+ nonprofit that organized the family-friendly PrideFest event in Castle Rock, Douglas County, Colo. on Aug. 27 has apologized after video emerged showing a performer's fake breasts being exposed during a children's drag show. The incident has angered conservatives who view drag shows as adult entertainment inappropriate for children.
At the pride event held on Douglas County Fairgrounds property last Saturday, Denver-based drag queen "Alice Glamoure" was on stage when her fake breasts and nipples were exposed while swinging in front of a banner that read: "A Family Friendly Event." At the conclusion of the song, another drag queen yells on the microphone: "Titties! Tits tits."

Medical professionals and some parents in Florida are complaining about how much harder it's getting to perform highly controversial and often irreversible gender-transition surgeries or hormone treatments on children now that Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis' administration is cracking down on such extreme forms of "gender-affirming care.”
Florida’s medical board has begun the process of banning certain "gender-affirming medical treatments" for children and adolescents following guidance from the Florida Department of Health, which recommends against puberty blockers, hormone therapy, and gender reassignment surgery for anyone under 18. DeSantis has said he would support legislation preventing children from undergoing gender-transition surgeries.
