Reasoned UK host Darren Grimes says continued COVID-19 lockdowns have created a “fetish of fascism” in many countries, where people long to be told “what to do” by leaders.
“Last year there was a really prominent court case in this country on free speech, and one of our most senior judges said that our country has never had a Cheka, a Stasi, or indeed a Gestapo.
“Well, I’m afraid to say that with lockdown … it’s like this fetish of fascism almost, where we just long to be locked down.
“We long for politicians to tell us what to do, we long for hypocrites like Sir Keir Starmer.
“We look for people not to champion our position in politics but instead to champion saying: ‘well we should lock down sooner, faster, and harder’.”
