Leftists Celebrate ‘Banned Book Week’ By Victimizing People Who Don’t Agree With Them
The left survives on being victims and on virtue signaling, so it is interesting that during “banned books week,” as they are responsible for causing the banning of books like Dr. Suess, they are also pushing the narrative that they need to censor people because they are also the victims of banning books.
“Banned Books Week is the annual celebration of the freedom to read,” the official site reports is the purpose of the Week. But, the left ads, ‘Just as long as you agree with our agenda, that is.’
You simply can not make up this pretzel logic in the minds of the poor left.
COMMENTARY ON THE BELOW VIDEO: This is a great idea. I am 100% at peace with the fact that that there will always be books out there pushing toxic ideologies. But recently I have seen an increase in the prominence of these, in a lot of the mainstream bookshops (e.g. Waterstones). Entire displays of children’s books specifically and proudly focusing on far-left Postmodernist neo-Marxist ideologies and untruths.
It is good to see some countering of this. I know that Prager-U have also initiated an opposition to this by releasing children’s books giving an alternative view to those in high prominence. Promoting traditional Western free-market capitalist values.
