There are a number of angles to take on this, but I want to keep this as concise as possible.
2021 is proving to be a worthy sequel to the disaster movie that was 2020. Big tech and the global elite that control the narrative have been cranking up the gears. With Parler under serious threat of being shut down as I write this, WhatsApps terms of service changing with some serious privacy implications, the list could go on.
And then we have the Donald Trump social media ban. But let’s look beyond the obvious undemocratic backroom deals that are controlling the current transfer of power (as is usually the case) and beyond that the illusion that this transfer of power occurred via the ballot box.
Instead, let’s look at the misguided notion that the Trump ban is “a good thing because Orange Man Bad and he needs to go away”. Because I just know I am going to have to hear that for the foreseeable future, in many social and processional circles as I engage in everyday life, even now since I have stepped off mainstream social media. Trump Derangement Syndrome wont go away. But then again, neither will Trump nor his support(ers), deplatformed or not.
To the idea that this deplatforming is productive because ‘Orange Man bad’ and that he needs to be made to ‘go away’, I would simply say “Che Guevara didn’t go away did he?”. The communist leader involved in the Cuban Revolution became a powerful symbol following his execution in 1967 by the Bolivian army. That old saying “Strike me down an I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine” springs to mind. Guevara is a classic example of that.
I’ve always known that there are two ways you can assassinate someone, either:
- traditionally (i.e. literally death) or…
- assassination of their character – which usually involves some form of exile.
With Guevara, he was faced with the former and as a result is now regarded as a martyred hero by generations of leftists. His image has remained an icon of leftist radicalism and anti-imperialism (but in a very messed up and misguided way). And we see this formula repeat in many other examples. Now we will with Trump, going forward.
Obviously with Trump, the topic for discussion here is not his literal assassination, but with a sustained character assassination campaign run by the global elite controlled media and now and the big tech exile from Social media. So we now have a very real realisation of a martyr status for the man. Especially in the context of a systemically and flagrantly rigged election.
I myself am no fan of Trump as such. Maybe we can talk about being a lesser evil now, but I was one of the first people I can recall in my social circle publicly calling out his nominee status in the primaries, back in 2016. And now here I am running the risk of ‘thought crime’ for speaking out about his social media ban, context or not.
I also realise that this only gets worse from here as the far-left agenda continues to tighten its noose around the product (you) on social media, with the brainwashing, threats of deplatforming, woke mobs lurking and ready to pounce, implications for privacy and your freedom of speech, should you dare to offend.
And that’s just on the social media front. The world is much bigger than that… and the noose is tightening there too. Time to take the Red Pill if you haven’t noticed it yet. Time to whittle down your use of social media, maybe find some other alternate platforms.
I recall somewhere I have a dark-green Che Guevara t-shirt that was mistakenly bought for me by an ex-girlfriend (yeah that relationship lasted long!). I think I might wear it now along with a MAGA hat. The two would seemingly work well together.
