COMMENTARY ON THE BELOW ARTICLE: Once again, sorry this is a Daily Mail article. But this is what happens when the (far-)left act up. It gives the right wing of the chance to step up to the moral high ground, but that’s not even my point.
This is another case where the usual expectations of a person’s ‘lived experience’ (which is just a woke code for an anecdote, truth be told) would dictate that such a panel, at face value, would and could only testify that racism and white supremacy are systemic in the UK. But that happens not to be the case here.
So this leaves a situation open where the Critical Race Theorists will accuse the panel of having ‘internalised racism’. But why leave it there?. Expect criticism to include accusing the panel of “not actually being black”. Reminiscent of when Joe Biden told his black audience that if they don’t vote for him, to paraphrase, “they ain’t black”. Something similar was said about Kanye West by leftists in 2018 when he offered his support for President Trump…
Sure we can criticise such judgement, but to claim that he’s no longer black does indicate that that the person speaking such harsh words has a rather dehumanizing attitude.
But why even stop at skin colour? Peter Thiel was accused of being no longer gay by LGBT activists when he voiced favour for President Trump. And German Greer was labelled as no longer being a feminist for having so called ‘exclusionary’ beliefs. Putting people in such a box does seem a little bit exclusionary and rather tyrannical.
