In today's video I talk about managing the risk of premiums when buying gold and silver. There is no doubt that precious metals will protect your wealth over time and help to combat inflation and the devaluation of currency over time. However, it is really important to manage ones own risk when investing in anything. Having all your money in one asset class would be too much of a risk.
Premiums on gold and silver are very different and silver is very much more volatile than gold. The premium swing on gold is much lower with a purchase price of a few percentage points over spot price and a buy back price of spot price it means you have a much lower risk exposure in the short term.
This is why I think gold is a much better buy right now compared to the highly inflated premiums that are on silver. As supply chains open up and as central banks start to combat inflation we will see gold and silver prices come down with increased interest rates and a greater supply on the market.
