Exposing the latest woke supremacy, Big Brother and other culture war related items:
The Washington Post reported, “Nine dating sites have teamed up with the Biden administration to add features that will let users show they’ve gotten their shots.”
COMMENTARY ON THE BELOW ARTICLE: Exactly. Because we allowed those controlling the narrative to scare the living crap out of people.
My own father and sister have suffered from severe anxiety over the last year or so directly because of this. My sister having to go to the Emergency Room specifically because of the physical manifestations of it. They both seldom listen to my own guidance and remain glued to the television and/or social media, where the narrative is all the same…
‘Step outside your door and you will be molested by a Covid 19 infected right-wing pitbull. And remember… don’t have nightmares’ (yes that’s an old BBC Crimewatch reference).
All these people that have had their will and spirit so severely damaged will have untold effects on society in so many negative ways that will be seen for decades to come. There is no vaccine for that other than the truth, right here and now. And that is what we try to promote here at The Gramophone Mind – BrandX.
COMMENTARY ON THE BELOW VIDEO: The UK based ‘Free Speech Champions’ group is doing some excellent work at the moment and putting out some great content. You can see them listed in our Causes To Support page here. I’d suggest joining where applicable. Not to be confused with the UK based ‘Free Speech Union-, though I’d say the same for them. Definitely worth considering.
I have copied the video description ahead of the video for context below. It is a few paragraphs long, so apologies. I do try to keep the homepage scrolling requirements to a minimum! – BrandX:
“Journalists have long viewed their role as engaging in a fearless pursuit of truth, highlighting opposing perspectives and exposing wrongdoing without fear or favour, and ultimately holding power to account. This made journalism a fundamental pillar of a functioning democracy and positioned it as one of the most fascinating institutions.
However, in recent years this role has been called into question. Established institutions such as The New York Times and the BBC have been increasingly criticised for pursuing an ideological or partisan agenda – for example, around the 1619 project or attachment to various ‘woke’ orthodoxies. In some quarters there is anxiety over abandoning impartiality or balance and instead presenting a narrower range of perspectives, even in some instances, protecting power. Piers Morgan was sacked recently from ITV for questioning a member of the Royal Family’s claims. Meanwhile, the Director of the Society of Editors, Ian Murray, resigned due to pressure, after defending his profession against claims it was ‘institutionally racist’.
Some argue that social media has reinforced the imperative to pursue clicks, practice ‘gotcha journalism’ and prioritise agenda-setting over rigorous investigation and objective reporting.
This, in part, has contributed to the rise of the ‘new media’ in the form of podcasting, blogging, independent writing and self-publishing platforms such as Medium and Substack, where creators can publish content free from stringent editorial oversight, institutional pressure and threats of ‘cancel culture’. But does this risk simply creating different forms of silos and echo chambers?
To what extent, and in what ways, has journalism changed and what does this mean for the role of the media today? After all, some would argue journalism has long been skewed by the political outlooks and interests of the ‘press barons’ or broadcasters they work for. What can an independent-minded journalist do to pursue their craft? Where are the main power-centres in society today and how can they be best held to account? Is truth and impartiality possible anymore, or do we live in an age when journalists are in danger of sacrificing their independence?”
COMMENTARY ON THE BELOW ARTICLE: Well, if it was good enough for President Trump, then its good enough for Biden. Here goes:
“OMG, he’s on the side of the anti-semites… Joe Biden is LITERALLY Hitler”.
You’re welcome – BrandX.
COMMENTARY ON THE BELOW VIDEO: We had the supernova ‘Stop Asian Hate’ campaign, albeit much of it was misdirected, falsely reported as being predominantly down to white supremacy. I think it is time we have have attention drawn to anti-semitism.
The concern is that if that went viral in the mainstream consciousness, much of that would then be misdirected too. Having said that, it is fundamentally harder (i.e. than the Asian hate coverage) to falsely pin the bulk, or any, of this on white supremacy, given the context.
You tend to find anti-semitism in a lot of the far-left groups and mobs that tie in with the usual suspects such as Black Lives Matter and Antifa as well as other groups including Hamas supporters. So that factor would really need to be swept under the carpet, in terms of mainstream awareness, if a ‘Stop Anti-semitism’ campaign went supernova. It doesn’t seem feasible to me.
I digress. Disturbing video anyway, the bit with the bomb or whatever that is… is chilling- BrandX.
Additionally, The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating whether an attack on a group of Jewish men dining in the Beverly Grove neighborhood late Tuesday night was a possible hate crime committed by a pro-Palestinian group.
COMMENTARY ON THE BELOW VIDEO: Going from wanting privacy to massive attention seeking and profiting from it financially. Great analysis from Andy and Stef here – BrandX.
COMMENTARY ON THE BELOW ARTICLE: Bloody hell… that is more fentanyl than even George Floyd could take in a day. Or not, depending on what you believe his cause of death was. Side issue – BrandX
"So far in Fiscal Year 2021, fentanyl seizures have already surpassed those from all of Fiscal Year 2020, with 6,494 through April 2021 compared to 4,776 for all of Fiscal Year 2020," CBP said in a news release. CBP seized 2,801 pounds of synthetic fentanyl in 2019 and 2,283 pounds in 2018, according to the CBP website.
Former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard accused Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot of "blatant anti-white racism" for only granting interviews to black and brown reporters.
"If I'm gonna bring up white privilege when I brought up Steve Nash getting the job in Brooklyn, is this not an example of white privilege?" Smith said on ESPN's "First Take" before asking, "What brother do you know that's getting this opportunity?"
